Hi! I am a CELTA qualified English teacher from Edinburgh, Scotland, in the UK. I also spent 3 months living in Taiwan and 5 months in France.
I have experienced teaching students online and in-person from around the world, and we always have a lot of fun together in our classes! For example, I taught a class of three students from Poland for two months and we became very friendly, even creating a group chat to share movie suggestions with each other. I have also experienced talking to several language partners online through an e-tandem language exchange, because I study Japanese, Chinese and French. I was even able to meet up with one of my language partners in real-life after speaking online for a year, which was exciting! So, I am used to speaking online and helping people practice English. I love meeting new people and discussing different topics about anything that interests you, such as history, travel, movies etc.
I can adapt my classes to suit your needs, we can be more casual and mainly practice speaking through fun activities like story-telling and speaking games, or we can have more formal lessons including grammar, listening, writing and reading activities. I have some coursebooks we can work from to keep the class structured. Just let me know what you need. I can teach any level from a beginner to advanced, my past students have been from an elementary to advanced level. I understand from my own language learning experiences that studying a language can be scary, especially when it comes to speaking. So I hope to help you feel relaxed, learning a language is fun!
